PlagiarismNowAction Having Technical Problems

It seems that someone at PlagiarismNowAction accidentally deleted a post. We're just trying to help in case it happens again. (If you wonder why we would call them that, follow the PlagiarismNowAction tag)

I posted this EARLIER Today but it was deleted.

This is the second posting about Benner's challenge to Udall that has been deleted without prior notice.

I think someone at ProgressNowAction is "looking" for a reason to delete their most active blogger and activist and kill the effort to have a debate in the Senate race on the issues.

I'll try this again. Below is the deleted posting.

Subject: Mark Benner of Anton to run as a Democrat for US Senate against Udall,

To Announce tonight at Mercury Cafe event 7 pm in Denver.

Mark Benner Democrat of Anton CO tells me that I am authorized to tell you that he will announce his candidacy for Colorado's open US Senate seat as a Colorado Democrat tonight at 7 pm at the Mercury Cafe in Denver during a previously scheduled event

Make no mistake. We are not promoting Mark Benner's candidacy. When other blogs have technical problems, losing posts and such, we try to be good neighbors and help them out. It looks like we had our own problems, but that happens.

That Other Udall

No blog about Mark Udall would be complete without an occasional reference to his cousin, Tom Udall.

Joe Monahan seems to write an exceptionally complete blog about New Mexico politics. He reports:

Top Democratic Party insiders said they agreed that Udall's initial foray into the public arena following his decision to reconsider a Senate race was more muted than expected. They also said they believe he is taking two weeks not to just talk to the Senate leadership, but to see if D.C. Dems intent on getting ABQ Mayor Marty Chavez out of the race can work some magic on Udall's behalf...

Another political veteran offered her assessment where the Chavez-Udall situation stands.

"Chavez sleeps on cement. This is it for him. He is going to do whatever it takes. Udall has a soft pillow with his congressional seat. That's the difference." She said.

Others chimed in that Udall's two week stall could have the effect of drying up Marty's cash and also keeps the focus off of Big Bill who has been wounded by speculation that he might seek the Senate seat if his Prez campaign falters.

We will watch to see if the lefty blogs are as anxious to promote a Chavez-Udall primary in New Mexico as they have been to promote a primary against Schaffer in Colorado.

The Deception of the Left

If someone uses the screen name "nonpartisan" one might expect that he was, well...actually nonpartisan.

We found a blogger who uses that screen name but writes in a post that he admits is cross posted at Daily Kos and Swing State Project:

"My, how far we in the activist Netroots have fallen."

And about Mark Udall, whom most would consider very liberal almost to the point of being an extremist (especially on environmental issues) he writes:

"Colorado: Congressman and Blue Dog Dem Mark Udall locked up this nomination early, with support from Chuck Schumer. The blogosphere has yet to mention a strong candidate against him (Mike Miles, anyone?)"

Blue Dog Democrat???? I almost choked on my glass of water when I read that.
